Think Again!

You can find these signs on the highways of South Dakota. Since 1979, they are reminders of accidents that have taken the lives of South Dakotans and too often because of drunk or distracted driving. They are placed on the side of the road to get us to Think - to drive safely.

It is a good idea as it helps families and friends grieve and remember loved ones but in 2020, I feel like we need to post these signs in our towns and cities where people have died from Covid-19. We need reminders of the deadly virus that stalks this country where too many people do not take it seriously enough. Here in SD, our governor believes in freedom and letting people decide what they need to do. Of course, the virus doesn’t care about our freedom and will readily infect everyone.

To battle this virus, we know what we need to do, to mask up in public, keep at least 6 feet of holy distance, and continually wash/sanitize our hands.

We should have signs like Think and Why Die? All over South Dakota to remind us that indeed our lives and our neighbors are bound together.

Why die? Use a mask, keep your distance, and wash your hands.

On CRST, we are doing just that...
